4th and 7th GRADE TEXAS HISTORY ESSAY CONTEST
 

Dear Chapter Presidents and DRT Members, 

Thanks in advance for participating in the fourth and seventh grade Outstanding DRT Essay Contest, and the fourth and seventh grade DRT Outstanding Teacher Award. Through the interaction of your members and chapters in the education of Texas history in our Texas schools, public and private, we must endeavor to maintain the accuracy and interest with our future leaders of tomorrow. 

Please share the enclosed documents with your members and participate in our ongoing competition. Rules can be found in our DRT Manual and Procedures, commonly called the “Blue Book”. 

Here are a few guidelines to remember:

• Each Chapter will submit their contest winner to their DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE by the 6th of MARCH.
• The District Representative shall supervise and choose ONE WINNER for each contest from their district.
• Essays and winners chosen shall be sent to the Fifth Vice President General by the 25th  of MARCH as directed in the MOP.
